      According to the 2019 China (Shanghai) international musical instrument exhibition which opened on October 10, the musical instrument trade between China and the markets along the "One Belt And One Road" is booming, and the historical symphony of "music as media" echoes in the hearts of millions of Chinese and "One Belt And One Road" lovers.
      China's import and export of Musical Instruments totaled $2.118 billion in 2018, up 11.55 percent from the previous year, according to the China Musical Instruments association. Among them, the export was us $1.63 billion and the import was us $488 million, up 8.15% and 24.63% respectively year-on-year.
      Remarkably, in 2018, China and the markets along the "One Belt And One Road" realized the import and export of Musical Instruments worth us $450 million, accounting for more than 20% of the total, with a growth rate of 16.41%. Among them, exports were 297 million us dollars and imports 154 million us dollars, up 10.69 percent and 29.33 percent respectively year-on-year.
      The head of China musical instrument association said that since the han and tang dynasties, with the development and prosperity of the silk road, a variety of foreign Musical Instruments, including pipa and hu qin, have entered China and gradually evolved into an integral part of Chinese national Musical Instruments. China and the regions along the "One Belt And One Road" have profound music communication.       Statistics show that in 2018, China's imports of Musical Instruments from Indonesia and Germany increased by 26.8% and 19.5%, respectively. Piano, electronic instruments, percussion instruments and stringed instruments are the major categories of imports. Similarly, China's exports of Musical Instruments to Indonesia and Germany grew by 27.5% and 59.9% respectively.
      As the world's largest musical instrument exhibition, the exhibition covers an area of 145,000 square meters, with more than 2,300 companies from 34 countries and regions participating in the exhibition, an increase of 10 percent over last year, according to the organizer of China (Shanghai) international musical instrument exhibition 2019. Among the exhibitors, nearly 500 overseas enterprises participated in the exhibition, including the Czech republic, Germany, Italy, Russia and other countries along the "One Belt And One Road", which reflected the rising "weight" of the booming Chinese musical instrument market in the eyes of overseas musical instrument enterprises and music educational institutions.
