With the expansion of the FTA network, China's opening to the outside world will move forward to a wider range, a wider field and a deeper level.

On 30 December 2020, leaders of China and the EU jointly announced the completion of negotiations on the China-EU Investment Agreement as scheduled. According to a person in charge of the Department of Treaty and Law of the Ministry of Commerce, the areas covered by the agreement go far beyond traditional bilateral investment treaties, and the results of the negotiations cover four aspects: market access commitment, fair competition rules, sustainable development and dispute settlement. The Ministry of Commerce stated that with the implementation of the agreement, two-way investment will further expand its breadth and depth, and enter a new stage of "deep cultivation and meticulous cultivation".

Following the China EU investment agreement, good news keeps coming. According to the agreement, the two sides have achieved high-level liberalization arrangements in the field of trade in goods, and agreed to carry out economic and technological cooperation in agriculture, finance, medical care, tourism and other fields.
