     According to the official website of the Ministry of Finance, in order to support the success of the China International Fair for Trade in Services (referred to as the "Service Trade Fair"), with the approval of The State Council, the Ministry of Finance jointly with the General Administration of Customs and the State Administration of Taxation issued a notice to continue the implementation of the tax policy on imported exhibits sold during the service Trade exhibition.

     The notice makes it clear that the tax policy on imported exhibits of the Service Trade Fair will continue to be implemented, and the imported exhibits sold within the specified quantity or amount during the exhibition period of the Service Trade Fair held between 2024 and 2025 will be exempted from import duties, import value-added tax and consumption tax. The exhibits enjoying the tax policy do not include tobacco, alcohol, automobiles, commodities listed in the Catalogue of Major Technical Equipment and Products for which Import is not exempt from duty, endangered animals and plants and their products, and commodities prohibited by the State.

     The three departments said that the continuation of the implementation of the Service Trade Commission's tax policy on imported exhibits is conducive to further playing the role of the Service Trade Commission as an open platform, stabilizing the expectations of exhibitors, strengthening international exchanges of enterprises, boosting market confidence, and promoting the quality and efficiency of service trade.
