On the morning of October 16, two cold chain trains loaded with Yunnan western blue flowers, cabbage, pomegranates and other special fruits and vegetables left Yanhe Station in Yuxi city, Yunnan province, and will arrive in Vientiane, Laos and Lao CAI, Vietnam, respectively, one day later, marking the official opening of the China-Laos and China-Vietnam railway international cold chain freight trains.

     The China-Laos International cold chain freight train, built on the China-Laos Railway, runs in both directions from Kunming and Yuxi in Yunnan province to Vientiane in Laos for 26 hours. The China-Vietnam International Cold chain freight train, built on the Kunming (Ming) Yu (Xi) River (Kou) Railway and the China-Vietnam meter gauge Railway, realizes the one-stop direct service from Kunming and Yuxi in Yunnan province to Vietnam's Old Street, and runs for 20 hours.

     According to reports, the train has the characteristics and advantages of safety and stability, strong timeliness, sufficient transport capacity, good performance of cold chain equipment and high degree of preservation.

     The China-Laos and China-Vietnam international cold chain freight trains connect the big domestic market internally and the China-Indochina Peninsula Economic Corridor externally, building a bridge for Yunnan to serve and integrate into high-quality co-construction of the "Belt and Road", promote common prosperity and expand high-level opening-up. （Article source: People's Daily Online）
