To this end, the Ministry of Commerce will continue to hold important exhibitions such as the Canton Fair and the Service Trade Fair, actively support enterprises to participate in overseas exhibitions, continue to promote the facilitation of cross-border business personnel exchanges, create more conditions for communication between enterprises, help enterprises better connect with the market and customers, and win more orders.
Fourth, we will unleash new import potential. We should not only expand exports, but also expand imports. The market is the scarcest resource, and China has the advantage of a very large market, which provides a broad market space and cooperation opportunities for enterprises of all countries. The Ministry of Commerce will expand the import of high-quality consumer goods, advanced technologies, important equipment, key parts and components, increase the import of energy and resource products and domestic shortage of agricultural products, give full play to the role of important exhibition platforms such as the CIIF, expand diversified import channels, improve the level of import trade facilitation, and do a good job in fostering national import trade promotion innovation demonstration zones.
