On February 28th, in order to implement the spirit of the State Council´s Work Plan for Optimizing Port Business Environment to Promote Cross-Border Trade Facilitation, and in accordance with the requirements for the deployment of special operations for cross-border trade facilitation by the General Administration of Customs, and further enhance the level of cross-border trade facilitation in Beijing and Tianjin. Beijing Municipal Bureau of Commerce (Port Office), Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Commerce (Port Office), Beijing Customs, and Tianjin Customs held a “Beijing-Tianjin Cross-border Trade Facilitation Policy Training Meeting” in Beijing. As a key foreign trade company, our company was invited to attend this meeting.
According to the World Bank’s 2019 Business Environment Report, the business
environment in China has increased significantly from the previous year, jumping
to the 46th place in the world, and entering the top 50 for the first time. It
is one of the most significant economies in the global business environment
improvement. Among them, Beijing has the most obvious improvement in
cross-border trade facilitation indicators. The relevant person in charge of the
Beijing Municipal Bureau of Commerce said that cross-border trade facilitation
is an important aspect of improving the business environment. Optimizing the
cross-border trade environment is also a long-term and complicated system
project. The Beijing-Tianjin two cities will cooperate sincerely, deepen reform
and innovation, and promote the continuous improvement of cross-border trade
facilitation. Subsequently, officials of relevant departments in Beijing and
Tianjin introduced the new cross-border trade facilitation policies made by the
two cities in detail, and interpreted new measures such as streamlining links,
reducing documents, optimizing procedures, reducing costs and improving
convenience in detail.
During the meeting,
representatives of our company also fully discussed and exchanged the problems
encountered by enterprises in the process of import and export customs clearance
with the heads of relevant departments. Relevant person in charge said that the
problems raised by the enterprise will be carefully sorted out and studied, and
measures will be taken to create a better environment for the development of the
enterprise.
